Franck Brothers Collision Center currently
sits on about one acre that was purchased by Mr. Wright in 1922. The parcel
bordered by Taylor, Poplar Level, Lincoln, and Illinois, approximately
eight acres, was purchased for the grand total of $7,500.00 The long wooden
barracks, (in above left photo) were then tore down, and lots were sold
for $50 a piece. Our current building is built over the original foundation
of a large building that had burnt down in a fire that occurred late one
night in May 1941 (see other photos).
